Last year home builders came back to Bend in response to the growing demand for homes in this part of Central Oregon.

As we start 2014 the good news is that there is still plenty of vacant land available for builders who are thinking about building more homes in Bend, Redmond and other towns nearby.

Vacant Land in Bend

As of January 2014 there are 2,289 vacant lots available in Northeast (789 lots), Northwest (729 lots), Southeast (516 lots) and Southwest (255 lots) areas of Bend Oregon.

Bend isn’t the only Central Oregon town that has plenty of vacant land available, there is still plenty of vacant land and lots available in La Pine (158 lots), Redmond (1,042 lots) and Sisters (236 lots).

Big Plans For 2014

Besides the availability of vacant land in Bend, Redmond, Prineville and other Central Oregon towns there also has been a lot of permits issued to Central Oregon’s most well-known contractors in the last few months including: Pahlisch Homes, Hayden Enterprises and Blackrock Construction; each company has been issued permits for building homes in Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson Counties.

Bend January Home Inventory

As of January 7th, 2014 there are 1.6 months of home inventory for homes that are priced up to $200,000 and 3.5 months of home inventory for homes that are priced up to $300,000.

For homes that are priced up to $500,000 we have an inventory of 3.4 months while for homes that are priced up to $1,000,000 there is an inventory left of 6.1 months depending upon the neighborhood in Bend that you want to move to.

Get Pre-Qualified For a Mortgage Early
