BEND – These days just about everyone is looking forward to the opening of Bend’s Whitewater Park in late August or early September because, Bend is a multi-sport community and most people who ski at Mt. Bachelor also enjoy Kayaking on the Deschutes River as well.
Bend Paddle Trail Alliance Helps with Project
Thanks to a recent article from the Bend Bulletin we learned Bend’s Whitewater Park is getting closer to opening and organizations like Bend’s Paddle Trail Alliance and Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe are helping the Park & Recreation District with calibrating the system to insure that everyone who comes to the Whitewater Park will have an optimal experience.
Awesome Waves in Bend
What’s really cool about Bend’s Whitewater Park is that we can expect to enjoy waves which will come in a variety of sizes and shapes thanks to a precise computer system including bladders which will be inflatable and used for offering surfers and kayakers awesome experiences when they come to the wave park in Bend.
In the coming weeks as work on the Whitewater Park is finalized we can expect to see construction of a pedestrian bridge which will cross the river and this is sure to make the Whitewater Park a tourist attraction in Central Oregon since people will be able to also watch Kayakers and surfers enjoy the waves.
