When we created the Skjersaa Group 18 years ago, we knew we wanted to include a well-defined plan for giving back to our local community as part of our business plan. Initially, we focused our One Percent Campaign on supporting environmental causes, but we quickly saw the impactful work a wide range of nonprofits were doing across Central Oregon and expanded our giving criteria to include initiatives focused on food and housing stability, family and child safety, animal protection, education, culture and more.

I am very grateful to our team for their ongoing commitment to our One Percent Campaign, which is our pledge to donate at least 1% of our annual revenue to non-profit causes each year. In 2022, the Skjersaa Group donated almost $18,000 to more than 25 nonprofits serving Central Oregon, and volunteered their time to various causes and events throughout the year.

We feel so fortunate to have a robust network of nonprofits and community-focused agencies in Central Oregon that protect and serve our most vulnerable residents while also improving the quality of life for everyone who lives in this beautiful place, especially as we grow. Our experience is that no financial, in-kind or volunteer gift is too small to make an impact. Although the Central Oregon Gives Program has ended its fundraising until next fall, their website is a great resource for finding local nonprofits by category.

Thank you for supporting our amazing non-profit community!
