We recently tallied up the donations we made in 2021 and are thrilled to share that our team contributed over $27,000 to more than 30 local and regional nonprofits last year.

When we created the Skjersaa Group 17 years ago, we knew we wanted to include a well-defined plan for giving back as part of our mission. Initially, we focused our One Percent Campaign on supporting environmental causes, but we quickly saw the life-changing work a wide range of nonprofits were doing across Central Oregon and expanded our giving criteria.

Today, we’re honored to support many nonprofits that provide our community with services related to education, child safety, food and housing stability, animal protection and the environment. We are fortunate to have a robust network of nonprofits and community-focused agencies in Central Oregon that protect and serve our most vulnerable residents while also improving the quality of life for everyone who lives in this beautiful place.

Including our One Percent Campaign in our business operations is really quite simple. Each year, we follow through on our pledge to donate at least one percent of our revenue to local and regional nonprofits, and to say that evaluating the requests we receive and making financial gifts is a very fulfilling role for our team is an understatement. And to those of you who make giving and volunteering an integral part of your personal and professional lives, thank you!
