Buying Home At Night

Learn More about the Best Time of Day to View a Home

By Jason Boone

Searching for the right Bend Oregon Home isn’t always easy, especially when you have a tight schedule and have to work, pick up kids from school and deal with all of your normal daily responsibilities.

One common mistake that many home buyers make is viewing homes at night, especially during the fall and winter months when it’s dark outside, but the reality is that all home buyers should be viewing homes during the day especially for the following reasons:

Safety

During the winter in Bend we will have snow on the ground during most of the winter and at night that snow will freeze and turn into ice.

To avoid traveling on potentially dangerous winter roads it’s best to search for homes during the day.

Security

For the security of yourself, and your Realtor, it’s best to view a Bend Oregon home during the day instead of night because you will be more aware of your surroundings and able to protect yourself if needed.

See a Homes Best Features During the Day

Curb appeal is one of the first things which will lead you to get out of your car and go inside a home and you won’t be able to see a home’s best features, including its awesome curb appeal, if you visit it at night.

You May Be Able To Schedule an Early Showing

If you start work at 9:00 am why not request to view a home by 7:30 or 8:00 am? Most homeowners will be open to showing their homes earlier in the day especially if they are dealing with a serious buyer who has been pre-approved for a mortgage loan.
