If you’re searching for a great place to enjoy Central Oregon Mountain Biking why not enjoy Crooked River Gorge?

This destination offers some great mountain biking trails including Opal Canyon and Otter Bench plus plenty of great views.

To get here take Highway 97 to Crooked River Ranch and you will find the trail head for Otter Bench right after the golf course.

Parking is free here and with the awesome desert scenery you can be sure that there will be plenty of people here during the week to take photos or hike at this iconic destination.

Tip – This is an intermediate trail so if you decide to ride here make sure you’re prepared to have other mountain bikers racing by at any given moment as they navigate the 7 mile long trail.

About Crooked River Gorge

If you haven’t biked the trails here, you’re in for a treat. The gorge is about 300 feet deep, four miles long and offers some of the best views you will have a chance to see anywhere in Central Oregon.

The trail system is newer since it was completed in the last 5 years but there’s also plenty of other paths and sections here which locals have been enjoying and hiking on for generations.
